Executive Producer and Creative Head

Njoki is the Founder and Executive Producer of Zebra Productions Kenya Limited. She is an award-winning, Hollywood-trained producer and also one of Kenya’s leading scriptwriters. She trained at the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios-Hollywood and went on to write and produce five feature films: ‘The Plot’, ‘Six’,Judgement’, ‘Get me a Job’ and ‘Being OT’. She was Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer in the production of 71 made-for-TV films for MNET/Africa Magic channels, broadcasted across Africa by DSTV.

She was the Executive Producer for Changes the first high-end East African Drama series. She is the creator of the award winning drama series ‘Mama Duka’ which won the Best Indigenous Language Movie/TV Series (Swahili) at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), March 2014.

Njoki is also a radio playwright. She has written four (4) seasons of 10 episodes each for DW (Deutsche Welle) Radio’s ‘Learning by Ear’. The Radio plays are translated into 6 languages and broadcasted across Africa.

As a Commissioner with the Kenya Film Commission, the national body tasked with developing and marketing Kenya’s TV and Film industry, Njoki is actively involved in film and TV national policy review and development.

Njoki is also the DW (Deutsche Welle) Distribution Representative in Kenya.
